Pressure Cooker Bolognese

No need to buy spaghetti sauce in a jar when you can make this delicious sauce at home.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground sausage can use ground beef
  • 3 tbsp minced onion flakes
  • 4 tsp minced garlic
  • 28 ounces canned crushed tomatoes
  • 6 ounces tomato paste
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp dried oregano
  • 1 tbsp dried basil
  • 1 tsp fennel seed
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp ground pepper
  • 16 ounces pasta any kind

Instructions

  • Set pressure cooker to sauté (if available.) Add meat when hot. Brown meat and break it up as it cooks.
  • Add onion flakes, minced garlic, tomatoes, tomato paste, water, sugar, oregano, basil, fennel seed, salt and pepper to pot and mix with browned meat.
  • Place lid on pressure cooker and set valve to sealing. Set timer for 20 minutes.
  • After the cook time is complete, do a "quick release." Once the pressure has dropped, open the lid and stir the sauce.
  • Serve over cooked pasta and garnish with Parmesan cheese or any of your favorite toppings.
